Julien Yombouno

H.E. Julien Yombouno (Ambassador of the Repubic of Guinea in the Republic of Sierra Leone),  former Minister of Labor and Civil Service of Guinea, is a distinguished leader renowned for his integrity, transparency, and honesty. With over twenty years of expertise in public administration, education, and international development, Julien has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to ethical governance and transformative reforms.

During his tenure as minister, Julien spearheaded major reforms that profoundly transformed Guinea's public administration. He led a pivotal initiative to modernize and digitize the civil service, successfully eliminating 30,000 fictitious positions from the registry, which not only saved $10 million but also significantly enhanced the system’s efficiency and transparency.

Julien has extensive experience in managing projects and programs funded by prestigious organizations such as KFW, USAID, IRISH AID, ECHO/EU, World Bank, UNICEF, and Plan International, Inc. This involvement has provided him with a deep understanding of international development finance and project execution, further enhancing his ability to lead and innovate.

Prior to his role as Minister, Julien worked with organizations such as UNICEF and Plan International, where he was instrumental in developing educational strategies and managing projects that promoted quality education for children in crisis-affected regions. His efforts have consistently emphasized capacity building, advocacy for vulnerable populations, and the enhancement of educational and administrative systems.

Julien holds a Master’s degree in Education, French Language, and Literature from the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Meknès, Morocco, and is a respected author of several publications that delve into educational strategies and cultural narratives.

As the Chairman of the Board at Aid-Equip US Corp., Julien leverages his extensive experience and visionary leadership to drive initiatives that empower communities and promote sustainable development. His dedication to ethical practices and reform in both the public sector and international development sectors underscores his pivotal role in fostering transformative change.

 

Nancy Lee Wood, PhD

Nancy Lee Wood, Ph.D. is Professor of Sociology/Sustainability at Bristol Community College in Fall River, MA. USA.  As Director of the college's Institute for Sustainability and Post-carbon Education, she has developed a Social Science-based degree and certificate program for community college levels focused on Sustainability and Ecosystem Restoration.   Currently, she serves on the Board of Biodiversity for a Livable Climate in Cambridge, MA and is an Advisor to AGRARIA: Center for Regenerative Practice in Yellow Springs, OH.
 
She has participated in and presented at numerous national and international conferences focused on the incorporation of sustainability issues into undergraduate college curricula.
 
She holds a doctorate from the University of Colorado-Boulder in Sociology (1985) and a M.A.  degree in Psychology from the Graduate Faculty of the New School for Social Research in New York City (1975).

At Aid-Equip US, Dr. Wood plays a crucial advisory role, guiding the organization’s initiatives in environmental sustainability, biodiversity and water conservation.

 

Koumba R. Koundouno, PMP

Koumba R Koundouno is a seasoned PMP-certified Project Manager and Business/Data Analyst with a rich background in health care project management and humanitarian and development project coordination.

As the Founder and Director of AID-EQUIP US, Koumba leverages advanced skills in program coordination, data analytics, and software tools like SQL, JIRA, and Tableau to drive efficiency and innovation across projects.

Fluent in French, English, and with basic knowledge of Spanish, Koumba effectively manages global projects, bringing multicultural insights and inclusive approaches to her work. Her expertise spans all facets of project management including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, and resource allocation, which she adeptly uses to ensure projects not only meet but exceed expectations in delivering sustainable revenue and profit growth.

Koumba’s strong analytical skills are integral to her ability to drive strategic initiatives and achieve business objectives, ensuring her projects generate innovative, cost-effective solutions.
 
With her comprehensive experience and a hands-on approach, Koumba continues to make a significant impact in the health care and humanitarian sectors, emphasizing strategic growth and operational excellence.

 

Nancy Kwangwa, PhD

Nancy Kwangwa is a visionary leader with over a decade of experience in academic research support and library management. She currently serves as the Deputy Librarian at the Women’s University in Africa, where she spearheads innovative programs in information and digital literacy, scholarly communication, and research data management.

Nancy earned her PhD in Library and Information Studies from the University of Cape Town and holds both Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Library and Information Science from the National University of Science and Technology in Zimbabwe. Her research explores the nexus of knowledge transfer, media and information literacy, and digital equity, with a strong focus on community development and human rights.

Globally recognized for her contributions, Nancy has participated in prestigious fellowships, including the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program and the Community Engagement Exchange Programme.

As a volunteer for the Zimbabwe Information and Technology Empowerment Trust, she develops and delivers digital literacy programs targeting young women and girls in under-resourced communities in Zimbabwe. Additionally, Nancy chairs the Zimbabwe Library Association, Mashonaland Branch, and coordinates initiatives promoting digital rights and literacy.

At Aid-Equip US, Nancy applies her extensive expertise to enhance digital inclusion and knowledge accessibility, furthering the organization’s mission to empower communities through education and technology.

 

Evans Nyarko Siaw, MPhil, FCCA, CA

Evans Nyarko Siaw is a seasoned accountant with over 15 years of extensive experience in the manufacturing, audit, and non-governmental non-profit sectors across both local and international institutions.

As a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ghana, Evans brings a robust expertise in financial management and investments.

Evans holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Finance and Investments from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.

He is also nearing completion of his qualifications with the Chartered Institute of Taxation Ghana, where he is a student-finalist.

Currently serving as a member of the global finance team at BirdLife International, a nature conservation charity based in Cambridge, UK, Evans has dedicated the last six years to enhancing financial operations within the organization. He specializes in grant management, project accounting, institutional and project audit, financial reporting, and business process design.

With work experiences spanning Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Senegal, Kenya, Belgium, and the United Kingdom, Evans's international background and leadership skills involve developing and motivating teams to achieve business objectives effectively.

At Aid-Equip US, Evans leverages his comprehensive financial expertise and international insight to guide the organization's financial strategies and ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency in all aspects of operation.

Francois P. Kamano- Development Director

Francois Phopho Kamano is a seasoned development strategist, public sector transformation expert, and international project leader with extensive experience in fundraising, grant management, and multi-sector partnerships.

Before joining Aid-Equip US as the Development Director, Francois played a pivotal role at the United Nations Foundation – Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, where he led multi-country programs supporting governments across Francophone Africa. His work focused on data-driven policy execution, stakeholder engagement, and securing funding for large-scale development initiatives.

At Aid-Equip US, Francois brings his expertise in resource mobilization, strategic partnerships, and program development to expand the organization’s impact. His leadership will drive fundraising efforts, strengthen donor relations, and scale sustainable development programs to enhance Aid-Equip US’s mission of empowering communities through innovative solutions.

With a strong background in public sector collaboration, policy reform, and international development, Francois is committed to advancing Aid-Equip US’s vision and ensuring long-term, high-impact growth.

 

Jonathan Samuel Pagan -Projects Coordinator USA

Jonathan Samuel Pagan, a dedicated Projects Manager at Aid-Equip US, brings 16 years of service in the U.S. Navy, with a goal of retiring at the 20-year mark. A Chicago, IL native, Jonathan’s diverse expertise spans security, disaster relief, strategic operations, finance, real estate, and logistics, refined through deployments across multiple countries and humanitarian missions worldwide.

Driven by resilience and a commitment to service, Jonathan has overcome challenges stemming from limited resources and educational opportunities. His passion for community empowerment and development fuels his work at Aid-Equip US, where he serves as a volunteer Projects Manager, leveraging his strategic skills to coordinate impactful initiatives.

Through his role, Jonathan is dedicated to advancing Aid-Equip US’s mission, ensuring that critical resources and sustainable programs reach those in need, ultimately shaping a stronger and more resilient global society.

 

 

 

Tina Finda Nyunkor- Regional Manager, West Africa

Tina Finda Nyunkor serves as the Country Director for Liberia and Regional Manager for West Africa at Aid-Equip US, bringing her extensive experience as an educator, beauty queen, and business owner to the role. With a Bachelor's degree in Education from Stella Marie Polytechnic University, Tina has a solid background in educational initiatives and youth empowerment.

Her previous achievements include significant placements in the Miss Liberia and Miss Africa pageants, which have not only highlighted her commitment to cultural representation but also her ability to leverage her platform for broader societal benefits. As CEO of Tina Nyunkor Beauty and Modeling Services, she has demonstrated her skill in empowering young women by fostering their confidence and professional capabilities.

In her role as Country Director for Liberia at Aid-Equip US, Tina oversees projects and initiatives aimed at improving community welfare and sustainable development.

She focuses on integrating educational and empowerment strategies into the organization's missions, ensuring that programs not only address immediate needs but also foster long-term resilience and growth within the communities.

Her leadership is marked by a passion for advocacy and a drive to inspire positive change through educational and environmental sustainability efforts in West Africa.

 

George Ng'ang'A Kamano, PhD- Senior Director Africa and Asia.

George Ng'ang'a Kamano is an adept leader with extensive experience in automotive sales management, real estate, education technology, and community development. As the Senior Director for Africa and Asia at Aid-Equip US, he brings a wealth of expertise and a track record of transformative leadership to his role.

George holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Business/Trade/Commerce from the Asian Institute of Management and a Master’s degree in Business/Commerce from Federation University of Australia. His diverse professional background includes pivotal roles such as Manager at Credit Automobiles Limited in Kenya and Director at Iproperties Africa, where he effectively managed extensive property portfolios and led significant real estate development projects.

As the founder of Kamano Foundation, George has demonstrated a profound commitment to philanthropy, focusing on conflict resolution, providing access to specialized medical aid, and supporting education and clean water initiatives for those facing socioeconomic hardships.

In addition to his philanthropic efforts, George is a co-founder of G-FUNZE, an innovative educational technology app that offers affordable courses aimed at empowering individuals with skills to secure a decent living. This initiative showcases his dedication to using technology for educational and economic empowerment.

George’s hobbies include reading, playing chess, and swimming, activities that reflect his balanced approach to professional and personal life.

In his role as Regional Director for East and Central Africa, George Ng'ang'a Kamano is committed to driving Aid-Equip US’s mission forward by fostering initiatives that enhance community welfare, promote educational opportunities, and ensure sustainable development across the region.

 

Naomi Porter -  Volunteer Coordinator

Naomi Porter is a dedicated Volunteer Coordinator at Aid-Equip US, bringing her passion for community engagement, event organization, and volunteer management to support the organization’s mission.

With a background in customer service, sales, and nonprofit volunteer work, Naomi has honed her skills in communication, coordination, and outreach. As a Sales Manager at Koumba’s Hot Sauce Inc., she successfully led marketing and outreach efforts, engaging customers both online and at local events. Additionally, her experience as a volunteer with the World Mission Society Church of God since 2019 has strengthened her ability to organize community initiatives, youth programs, and social impact events.

At Aid-Equip US, Naomi plays a vital role in recruiting, coordinating, and supporting volunteers, ensuring smooth operations for various community projects. With a commitment to empowering others and fostering collaboration, she is dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of those Aid-Equip US serves.
